Raymond H. Miller

Songwriter/musician RAY MILLER has been playing around New England in the northeastern USA for many years. He has performed in groups and solo, playing a mix of blues, rock, jazz, country, and world music. These different styles can be heard in his own compositions, which also blend in the influence of such songwriters as Richard Thompson, Randy Newman, Elvis Costello, and Bob Dylan. Best known for his prowess on the mandolin, he is also proficient on acoustic and electric guitar, and plays bass, as well. He has been writing songs for over 20 years.
Ray Miller is a professor of Slavic Studies at Bowdoin College, a university in Brunswick, Maine, which is located about 215 kilometers north of Boston. He specializes in 19th-century Russian literature and the cultural history of East Central Europe, particularly the many manifestations of Romanticism in the region. He is especially interested in Slovene literature and history.
