Literary reading: Czech novelist Radka Denemarková

You are cordially invited to literary event with the Czech writer Radka Denemarková which will be held on Monday, 10th October 2016, 6 p.m., in Trubar Literature House, Ljubljana (Stritarjeva Street 7).

Radka Denemarková, who has recently returned from literary tour in China, will speak not only about her last published novel, The Contribution to History of Joy (into Slovene transl. by Tatjana Jamnik, KUD Police Dubove, 2015), but also refugee crisis, discrimination, destructive effects of neoliberalism and other problems of world we live in.

Discussion will be moderated by Jana Šnytová, Czech literature lecturer at the Faculty of Arts, and translator Tatjana Jamnik. Event will be interpreted into Slovene.

Organized by Polica Dubova Cultural and Artistic Association, Department of Slavic Studies, Faculty of Arts, University in Ljubljana, Literary Association IA and The Blue and White Bird Association, in cooperation of the Trubar Literature House and Ljubljana City Library.
