Marcin Warmuz

Marcin Warmuz (1977) is a Slovenian literature translator and an English teacher. He graduated in Slovenian and English philologies at the Silesian University in Katowice. His research mainly deals with sociolinguistics, specifically various genres of modern Slovenian language, including slang. In addition, he is interested in theater, Slovenian and Balkan realities, culture and Anglo-Saxon countries, travel and modern literature. He translated a selection of poems written by Iztok Osojnik “Spodnie niebie” (Pants on the sky; Mikołów: Instytut Mikołowski, 2012). He is translating contemporary Slovenian poets, such as Lucija Stupica, Esad Babačič, Aleš Muštar, Hana Kovač, Slavica Šavli, Barbara Pogačnik which were published in Polish literary journals Pobocza, Arkadia and Portret.
